Friday

  • Welcome to Half Moon Cocktails hosted by Shernette Crichton, general manager, and the Half Moon executives. The Pavilion at 6 pm.
  • Scotty's at Sunrise A one-of-a-kind culinary show and taste with Half Moon’s jerk master, Chef Scotty, followed by Over the Moon. Sunrise Beach at 6 pm.
  • Over the Moon Music and vibes with entertainment featuring DJ Bambino. Hammock Bar at 9 pm.

Saturday

  • The Art of the Sip Exclusive wine-tasting and education experience hosted by Tahiirah Habibi. Fern Tree Spa at 1 pm.
  • The Art of the Mix Exclusive cocktail development hosted by Wynton Hudson and Worthy Park. Join us for an exclusive unveiling of the Half Moon signature cocktail, 70. Lester's Bar at 3 pm.
  • Taking Over the Sugar Mill featuring Brian Lumley and Tahiirah Habibi, who will take over our award-winning Sugar Mill. Sugar Mill Restaurant at 7 pm.
  • A Night at Cedar Lounge Music and entertainment provided by Nashville’s brightest songwriters and musicians, in partnership with Grindhouse Nashville and Half Moon's very own songbird, Rosalind Brooks. Cedar Lounge at 9 pm.

Sunday

  • An Invitation to Explore Day at leisure to enjoy the amenities of Half Moon
  • The Brunch Bar is a beautiful Sunday brunch next to the Caribbean Sea at the Seagrape Terrace, featuring an interactive beverage station with Tahiirah Habibi​. Haywards Restaurant at 12 noon.
  • Taking Over the Sugar Mill featuring Brian Lumley and Tahiirah Habibi, who will take over our award-winning Sugar Mill Sugar Mill Restaurant at 7 pm.


Package price includes the following events: Welcome to Half Moon; Scotty's at Sunrise; Over the Moon; a choice of the Art of the Sip or the Art of the Mix; A Night at Lester's; and a choice of Saturday or Sunday's staging of Taking Over the Sugar Mill.

Tahiirah Habibi

FOUNDER & CEO, the hue society

Tahiirah Habibi is a speaker, host, and the Founder and CEO of The Hue Society. She is a globally recognized, award-winning sommelier by trade and a creative entrepreneur.

As the architect of wine & culture, She has long advocated for more Black, brown, and Indigenous representational equity in the wine industry. Tahiirah honed her expertise at prestigious restaurants, most notably including J&G Grill in the St. Regis Bal Harbour and the legendary Michael's Genuine.

Tahiirah was selected in the Wine Enthusiast’s prestigious 40 under 40 list, also gracing the cover as the first Black woman to do so. She has also won the magazine's Wine Star Award for Visionary of the Year, as well as the honor of Advocate of the Year from Vine Pair Magazine. In 2023 she starred in her documentary entitled “The Power of Travel”. Tahiirah has been featured in Wine Spectator, Essence, Ebony, The Robb Report, and Vogue, to name a few. She also sits on the board of the James Beard Awards and will continue pioneering the necessary change for wine culture.

Brian Lumley

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Award-winning Executive Chef Brian Lumley ranks among Jamaica's best-trained culinarians. Chef Lumley is highly regarded amongst industry stakeholders and stands out for his humility, warmth, and impeccable work ethic he demonstrates inside and outside the kitchen.

A creative visionary, he wanted to open his restaurant at the age of 26.  Lumley became head chef behind what was one of Jamaica's most loved restaurants; 689 By Brian Lumley which was met with critical acclaim and operated successfully for two years before its closure. Upon leaving the restaurant business behind, he traversed oceans taking up stints in Doha, Qatar, and St. Georges, Grenada before returning to Kingston, Jamaica.

Honored on numerous occasions over the last decade, Chef Lumley has been recognized for outstanding accomplishments including: 

  • Copping the coveted Taste of Jamaica’s "Chef of the Year" award twice: in 2008 and 2012 – the youngest ever chef to win this prestigious honor - at ages 21 and 25. 
  • He joined forces with the Jamaica national culinary team and competed at the 2009 staging of Taste of Caribbean (Puerto Rico) copping a team gold medal while winning a personal bronze. 
  • He returned in 2010 to the Taste of Jamaica culinary competition where he was awarded the Hans Schenk prize for “Most Innovative Use of Caribbean Ingredients” alongside a personal silver medal.

It was in 2013 that the young prodigy earned the top individual prize of "Caribbean Chef of the Year" at the Taste of the Caribbean's regional culinary showcase which he aptly described as "the best moment of my life." An award of this magnitude had not been won by a Jamaican chef since 1999.

A 15-year veteran in mixology, Wynton Hudson is an award-winning cocktail consultant renowned for his cocktail expertise. Having crafted extraordinary experiences in top Jamaican establishments, he brings an authentic perspective to his work. A pioneer in cocktail education, Wynton collaborated with HEART Trust NTA, shaping the future of bartending. His passion lies in introducing the world to the vibrant flavours of Jamaica through innovative mixology.

He has worked with the Half Moon family for the past five years pushing the boundaries of mixology, constantly seeking new ways to blend tradition with innovation. A deep appreciation for Jamaican culture and food fuels his journey to redefine the global perception of cocktails.

Rudolph "Scotty" Bailey

SOUS CHEF, half moon

With an impressive tenure of 26 years in the culinary world, Rudolph has evolved into a master of his craft, recognized for his exceptional skills and imaginative prowess in the kitchen. He has graced the tables of numerous luminaries, leaving an indelible mark on the palates of those fortunate enough to savor his creations.

Beyond the confines of kitchens, Rudolph serves as a culinary ambassador, representing Halfmoon in Wyoming, USA, and Pittsburgh in Washington, DC. His culinary artistry transcends geographical boundaries, leaving an enduring impact on diverse culinary landscapes.

Yet, amidst the creative chaos of cooking, Rudolph finds joy in simple pleasures. A family man at heart, his hobbies include beach outings with loved ones, and crafting cherished memories. At home, he transforms his kitchen into a culinary haven, conjuring up dishes that delight and gather his family around the dining table.

In every dish he meticulously crafts, Rudolph Bailey weaves a narrative of passion, creativity, and culinary mastery. His journey from Heart Academies to international kitchens stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication to the culinary arts, leaving an enduring legacy in the world of fine dining.

Rosalind Brooks, an exceptional Recreations Manager, was named Half Moon's first runner-up for Manager of the Year 2023.

Her journey commenced in the realms of pageantry and modeling, gracing the runways of Miss Jamaica World Western and Miss Manchester Festival Queen with elegance and poise. A seasoned MC and remarkable singer, Rosalind captivates audiences with her versatile talents.

Infused with a passion for crafting unforgettable experiences, she seamlessly blends her event planning expertise with a captivating stage presence. Whether orchestrating recreational activities or commanding the mic with a melodic voice, Rosalind ensures every moment is steeped in joy and entertainment. With a robust background in hospitality and a natural flair for showmanship, this multi-talented professional transforms events into enduring memories, leaving a profound impression on both colleagues and audiences alike.

Entertainment Media was a natural career path for this charismatic music enthusiast. Born Orrett Hart, Bambino was raised in Kingston, Jamaica, before migrating to Tampa, Florida, where he launched his career in the early nineties. Under the mentorship of his older brother, Bambino got his start as an entertainment professional playing gigs at college parties and nightclubs in the area, honing his skills for the successful career that was to come.

Flexing his muscles as a producer, Bambino used the momentum from his career in Miami to leverage a video music show where he featured several big names in Jamaican music, including Damian Marley, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, and Lady Saw.

Radio Personality, Music Producer, Disc Jockey, MC, Host, Comedian and Radio Commercial Copywriter are just a few of his many professional pursuits.

FOUNDER & CEO, GRINDHOUSE NASHVILLE

Mark is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter originally from North Carolina. He has shared the stage with some of Nashville's biggest names most notably opening for Morgan Wallen and Hardy. His discography includes 12 singles and one album.

Mark's songwriting credentials include 110+ writing credits. His songs have been recorded by Lee Brice, John Schneider, Ella Langley, Trey Lewis, Spencer Crandall, and HunterGirl. He's had two #1 songs on the Texas Country Charts. He currently has a song in the top 20 on Country radio in Canada.

Sam Williams

SINGER-SONGWRITER

Sam is the grandson of country pioneer Hank Williams and the son of Outlaw legend, Hank Williams Jr. Sam is the latest in a long line of American originals. He has performed numerous times at the Grand Ole Opry and played festivals in the US and abroad.

In 2021, Sam released his debut album to critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Music Row Magazine, and the Associated Press. On Oct 22, he unveiled the deluxe edition featuring "Titled Crown", a reflective song about navigating his legacy in life. Williams is signed to a record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville.

Barrett Baber


Barrett Baber

SINGER-SONGWRITER

Barrett is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter from Marion, Arizona. He finished 3rd on NBC's The Voice in 2015. Barrett has released three full-length albums and toured the country with many of country music's biggest names. 

His songwriting credits include Cody Johnson's RIAA-certified platinum single, "Nothin' on You" and "God Bless the Boy" from Johnson's 2021 double album, "Human". In 2022, Mike Ryan reached #1 on the Texas Country Charts with a song Baber wrote. He is currently a staff writer for Bobby Pinson's Joint Venture with Sea Gayle Music.

Ben is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter from Arkansas. As a member of the folk duo, Carolina Story, Ben has released three studio albums, played the Grand Ole Opry, and toured the globe with the biggest Americana and Roots artist in the world.

Ben's songwriting credits include songs recorded by Sam Williams, Bryan Martin, Flatland Calvary, Colby Acuff, and many more. His songs have been critically acclaimed in many industry publications.
